
UK Albania flags
The British government has announced today that it is striking up a new partnership and trade agreement with Albania.
The agreement signed yesterday (5 February) sets out the UK and Albania’s aims for the relationship going forward including the strengthening of political, economic, security and cultural ties.
It will also allow the UK to trade under pre-Brexit terms.
Total trade in goods and services between the UK and Albania was worth £158m in 2019.
Wendy Morton, FCDO minister for the European Neighbourhood and the Americas, commented: “I welcome the signing of the UK – Albania Partnership, Trade and Cooperation Agreement which sets out our ambitious vision for the future relationship between our countries.
